Dharmendra is a seasoned finance professional holding prestigious qualifications as a CA, CS, and ICWA. With over 30 years of diverse experience, he has excelled across various sectors, including trading and distribution (notably in the energy and chemicals industry), manufacturing (oil and PET recycling), retail (leading the largest swimwear chain, Speedo), and finance (with Kotak Mahindra). His career has spanned South-East Asia, India, and the UAE, providing him with a rich, multicultural perspective on business operations.
Currently, Dharmendra serves as the Financial Controller at Petrochem Middle East FZE, Dubai, the largest chemical distributor in the MENA region and ranked 14th globally (ICIS Chemical Business, May 2024). Since joining the company in April 2016, he has played a key role in overseeing the commercial, operational, IT, human resources, and finance functions at a strategic level.
Dharmendra’s recent focus has been on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. Under his leadership, Petrochem’s Ecovadis rating improved significantly, placing the company in the top 36% of 750 multinational corporations assessed on the Ecovadis platform.
